Job: Tonsorial Specialist (Master Barber)

To deliver quality hair care services to company customers

• Cuts, Shapes, Trims and Tapers Hair
• Shaves and provides basic beard designs
• Provides facial massages and shampoo services
• Sterilize and sanitize barber equipment and instruments, and cleans work area
• Provides training to Tonsorial Artist when necessary
• Manages Tonsorial Artist within his/her group
• Performs other tonsorial services such as applying hairdressings or lotions.
• Records service charge on ticket or receives payment. Assures recipient’s signatures
• Orders supplies. Sells lotions, tonics, or other cosmetic supplies
• Travel, and transport Tonsorial Artist, throughout assigned territory to administer services.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervise 0 to 2 Tonsorial Artists (Apprentice Barbers). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training “tonsorial artist”; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining “tonsorial artist”; addressing complaints and resolves service related problems.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Twelve months related experience and/or training.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

NYS Master Barber License; Special Awareness Course Certificate; Driver’s License

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. This employee regularly provides services to residents in Hospitals, Nursing Homes, and Juvenile Detention Facilities. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
